Mr. Anthony Michielsen
From the early beginnings of his career, Anthony has focused on the logistics and transport sector and at present he assists several leading national and international companies as their external counsel in Belgium.
Furthermore, Anthony often acts on behalf of specialised insurance companies in transport liability cases and has built a firm practice in customs cases, representing customs agents as well as importers alike in this highly specialised field of law.
Anthony has a seat in several boards of directors as independent member and therefore has an in depth knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day business of running a company. This results in a hands-on and practical approach when assisting his clients.
He obtained his law degree in July 1999 at the Catholic University of Louvain and the French Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, before starting his internship at the firm of R. & L. Wijffels, Geuens, De Paep in January 2000, under the guidance of Mr. Luc Wijffels. He remained active in the same firm until January 2013, eventually as partner of Wijffels Advocaten, before starting in PORT Advocaten together with Mr. Alexandre Lemmens.
Anthony pleads in Dutch and French, is fluent in English and reads German.
